The NIZUC Experience

NIZUC is an award winning luxury resort in Cancun, Mexico I got the opportunity to stay at and experience. This ad that was recently posted by them is announcing a special dinner that is possible to have at the top resort, cooked by a top chef on valentines day. In this ad, the trend that was clearly represented is experience pursuits. Experience pursuits simply involves individuals who live a busy life style and at times feel the need to have a self-rewarding activity. Nowadays, individuals would rather do a small getaway over buying something expensive because they are on the search of an "experience". I feel that this is representing such trend because NIZUC is telling individuals to come experience an over the top dinner at on over the top resort on a special day; they are wanting people to "experience" what NIZUC is. Being different is FINE!

Diamond Candles is a brand that to me is a little odd and different, but definitely in a good way. This brand struck as a bit odd to me because of the name, Diamond Candles. Odd because when I read the name a few questions popped into my head, "Why that name? Is this candle made out of diamonds, or are there diamonds in it?" I later found out that this brand which I first thought of as a bit odd, was actually pretty genus. Diamond Candles is a brand that sells beautifully scented candles with a ring costing $10, $100, $1000 or $5000 in every order! This brand seems to have women as their target market, and clearly they are all about Diamond Candles! This brand made their odd name work because they are pleasing their target market, women, with two things that women clearly love, a beautiful scented candle and a surprise diamond ring inside. The odd name Diamond Candles doesn't distract from the message, but rather attracts women to keep on coming back and buying more! It...
